Frame Assembly
Rails
-
Remove the left and right leg assemblies from the second tray, and the two aluminum rails from under the cable chain in the first tray.
-
Stand the legs upright. The left leg has the Y1 harness and left tensioner pivot; the right has Y2 and the right pivot.
-
Tilt the left Y gantry on its side. Remove 2x M5x10mm socket head screws and 2x T-slot nuts from the hardware bag.
-
Insert one M5x10mm screw into the front left leg and attach a T-slot nut, oriented vertically.
-
Grab the front rail (slots labeled 1–25). Drop 2x M5x8mm button head bolts into the bracket holes and loosely thread T-slot nuts.
-
Align the front rail with the left leg, rotate the rail upward so the nut fits the extrusion, then slide it fully into the front left leg.
-
Tighten the two screws. Attach the front right side the same way and tighten.
-
Lift the machine on its back legs and tighten the final loose screw.
-
Get the back rail (slots 26–50, two brackets per side). Mount 4x M5x8mm button heads + 4x T-slot nuts.
-
Place the back rail across the back legs and rotate it upward into the extrusions. Adjust legs as needed for fit.
-
Rest the left side on the 50mm spacing bracket, lightly tighten, then set the right-side spacing.
-
Tighten both screws, then tighten the bottom screw on the left. Bring the machine back down.
Check for Squareness
- Drop the build plate onto the rails. Pull the staging plate fully forward and make sure its edge is flush with the extrusions on both sides; repeat at the back.
- Loosen frame bolts and adjust until both sides are flush at front and back.
- Slide both Y gantries to the back. Fit the X gantry onto them, motors facing you.
- Attach the X gantry with M5x25 socket head and M5x16mm screws on each side.
- Install front leg extensions (2x M5x16mm each) and back leg extensions (1x M5x16mm each).
Plates
- Remove and prepare the staging plate (bottom camera mounted) and build plate (bare).
- Secure the static camera foot to the staging plate with the two gold thumb screws, aligning the camera cable with the cutout.
- Attach the build plate foot to the center of the build plate (LumenPnP Staging Plate text facing up).
- Mount both plates with 8x M5x8mm button head screws + 8x T-slot nuts from the text side.
- Pull out loose wires from the Y gantries so plates mount cleanly.
- Place the staging plate on the lower extrusions, aligned to reference images.
- Use the alignment bracket to square the staging plate; tighten screws front and back.
- Place the build plate on the same rail, flush with the extrusion, and tighten all four screws.
Y-Striker
- Slide the Y-striker into the slot in the front left leg and secure with an M5x25mm socket head bolt.
- Adjust its height so it makes clean contact with the Y-gantry endstop, testing by pulling the X-gantry forward until contact.
